Handmade oboe reeds are the heart and soul of Maddy's Reeds. My journey began with a passion for creating exceptional reeds that elevate the music experience for oboists. I graduated from Syracuse University in 2020 with a bachelor's in Music Education. I then moved to Fairfax, VA to pursue a dual concentration master's degree in Instrumental Conducting and Oboe Performance. I have been teaching oboe for five years and have been perfecting my ability to make oboe reeds for over a decade.
